In 2010 the BeatOnMyHeart.com website was created using ASP.NET WebForms. It served its purpose at the time but it was 'old-school'. Since then many things have changed within the technology realm. With the advent of cell phones and tablets, it became much more difficult to navigate and read the content on small screens.

And that is why after my second open-heart surgery in 2021, I not only added an 'Update' section, but also upgraded how the website responds on various screens. In short, the site was re-written using component-based ASP.NET Core Razor Pages, JavaScript/JQuery, FancyBox, HTML5, CSS3, and Bootstrap 4 to allow for 'responsive' navigation. What all that means is now the same pages will 'resize/reformat' themselves based on the user screen sizes (i.e. cell phones, tablets, laptops, etc.).

I hope that the new interface will be much more intuitive and easier to navigate as you read through my story...
